DUSO, John
Thomas of Saginaw Township, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, July 7,
2010, at Aleda E. Lutz V. A. Medical Center. He was 80 years old. John Thomas
Duso was born on July 25, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan, to the late, Clarence M.
and Erma (Foley) Duso. He enlisted and honorably served in the U.S. Airforce
from 1948 to 1952. Upon returning from the service, John married Geraldine
ÒGeriÓ Moriarty on February 19, 1955, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church; she
survives him. He managed two transportation companies. John was a member of St.
Stephen Catholic Church. In his free time, he loved to golf; John also enjoyed
working in his yard and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are two daughters and a son: Sandra (Sonny)
Kovaleski; John Duso, Catherine Duso; five grandchildren: Andrew Duso, Nicole
Kovaleski, Dean Kovaleski, Adam Duso, and Samatha Duso; two
great-grandchildren: Emilee and Hayden Duso. Also surviving is a sister, Carol
Connelly.
He was preceded by an infant son, Michael Duso; and a brother-in-law, Jack
Connelly.
FUNERAL: JohnÕs Funeral Liturgy will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1310 Malzahn. Rev. Fr. James G. Heller will officiate. Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 2010 at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
VISITATION: Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.

memorials to St. Jude ChildrenÕs Research Hospital. Funeral arrangements have
