LEACH, Helen Elizabeth of Saginaw Township, Our beloved mother and grandmother passed away on Friday, December 9, 2011 at Covenant HealthCare – Harrison. She was 90 years old. Helen E. Marx was born on January 31, 1921 in Saginaw to the late Joseph and Bertha (Brandt) Marx. She was married to Arthur E. Leach on June 1, 1946 in Saginaw. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1969. Helen was a graduate of Bay City Junior College. She was a Librarian at Hoyt Public Library until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends in the Jolly 8 Bridge Club.

Helen is survived by a daughter, Anne Beckley; two sons: Tom (Linda) Leach and Jim Leach and his fiancée Michelle Murlick; four grandchildren: Sarah and Susan Beckley, Elizabeth (Libby) and Mike Leach. Helen was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Robert Beckley, and her brother, Joseph Marx.

FUNERAL: Helen’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 123 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw. Rev. Daniel Cannon will officiate. Private burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery.

VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Monday, December 12, 2011 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Helen will lie in state at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
