MEYERS, Jerry, of Saginaw Township, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2012, surrounded by his wife, five children and family at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. He was 68 years old. Jerry was the loving husband of Susan Gallant for 28 years and cherished father of Bryan, Daniel (Barb), Jason, Ashley and Stephen and his loving pet, Payci. He was born on January 24, 1943 to the late Howard and Irma (Fleming) Meyers. Jerry was predeceased by his parents, an infant brother, Tommy, and a niece Nora Meyers.

Left behind to cherish Jerry’s memory in addition to his wife and children are two brothers, Dave (Sharon) Meyers of Saginaw, Michael (Jodi) Meyers of Kalamazoo and one sister Kathleen Meyers of Phoenix, Arizona and their children; four sisters-in-law, Cheryl Klonoski, Paula Opperman, Cindy Sebek and Lisa Rapin, their families, his father-in-law Donald L. Gallant (Janet) and many cherished lifelong friends from his C.M.W. family.

Jerry was the broker owner of C.M.W. Real Estate from 1975 through 2007. He was most proud that C.M.W. remained #1 in the Saginaw Valley for home buyers and sellers for 32 years and that he mentored a family of real estate agents and staff that he loved dearly. Jerry was a loving husband, father, mentor, hero and friend with a generous heart. He was a simple man who lived a passionate, faith-filled life and was happiest spending time with his children. He was past president of the Saginaw Board of Realtors and a member of the National Association of Realtors for 43 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Stephen Parish. On the rare days that he wasn’t working, he treasured many rounds of golf with his longtime friend, the late Joe Rombach, his brother Dave and his sons. He was the most relaxed looking at the waters of the Caribbean Sea and Lake Charlevoix.

FUNERAL: A funeral liturgy honoring Jerry will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2012, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1320 Malzahn St., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Robert DeLand will officiate with entombment to follow at St. Andrew Mausoleum.

VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at St. Stephen Catholic Church on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A vigil service will be held at St. Stephen on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
