THRIFT, Cindy Linn of Birch Run, Michigan, passed away on Friday, December 09, 2011, at her home with her family at her side. She was 53 years old. Cindy Linn Risner was born on July 2, 1958 in Flint, Michigan to Dwane Junior and Shirley Ann (Clark) Risner. She married Gary Proctor; he preceded her in death on August 26, 2001. She later married Daniel Thrift; he preceded her in death in April 2005. Cindy was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 7542 in Birch Run.

Surviving are two daughters and two sons: Dawnielle Proctor, Gary Proctor, Jr., Julie Proctor and Eric Proctor all of Winter Haven, Florida; seven grandchildren; her mother, Shirley Ann (Alex) Risner; four sisters and two brothers: Vickey (Dick) Cook of Montrose, Pam (Gary) Hudeck of Albright Shores, Kim (John) Taylor of Birch Run, Becky (Melvin) Cook of Birch Run, Bill Risner of Birch Run and Rick Risner of Birch Run. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dwane Junior Risner.

FUNERAL: Following Cindy’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2011 at VFW Post 7542, 11325 Dixie Highway, Birch Run, Michigan, 48415. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family c/o Eric or Julie Proctor. Arrangements are entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State).
