When a Death OccursWhen a death happens at home — If your loved one is not on Hospice, call 911 or your local emergency phone number. The police will come to the home to investigate the death. They will contact the medical examiner’s office. The police and medical examiner will contact the funeral home to make arrangements for the deceased to be removed from the place of death. The funeral home will then contact the next of kin to set up a time to make funeral arrangements for your loved one. You may also call Deisler Funeral Home at any time, 24 hours a day. |
