Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away Tuesday afternoon, February 24, 2026, at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw. She was 59 years old.
Rita Magdalena Gonzalez was born March 13, 1966, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Fernando and Victoriana (Soto) Gonzalez Sr. Rita cared for others as a home health aide, a role that reflected her compassionate and nurturing spirit.
Rita was truly one of a kind, a great person with unconditional love, a contagious spirit, and high energy that filled every room she entered. She loved spending time with her family and especially cherished her grandchildren more than life itself, showering them with constant love and affection. Rita enjoyed dancing, listening to Mexican music, playing softball, and will be remembered for her wonderful cooking, which brought family and friends together.
Surviving are her children, Fernando Gonzalez III and Jesus (Charlene) Gonzalez; her beloved grandchildren, Legend Gonzalez, Arianna Gonzalez, Enrique Gonzalez, and Messiah Gonzalez; siblings, Herlinda Sanchez, Fernando Gonzalez II, Daniel Gonzalez, and Ricardo (Rebecca) Gonzalez; a special friend, Mary Medel; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Fernando and Victoriana Gonzalez Sr.; and her siblings, Miguel Gonzalez, Eduardo Gonzalez, and Andres Gonzalez.
VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service.
FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2026 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State).
