Our beloved sister, aunt and dear friend passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025. She was 68 years old. Barbara Ann Ohmer was born on July 20, 1954 in Saginaw to Robert O. and Maxine M. (Schott) Ohmer. She graduated from Douglas McArthur High School. Barb worked for Michigan Bell from 1972 and retired from AT&T after 35 years of service. She was the life of every party, and loved to be with family and friends, and enjoyed playing bingo and cards. Barb enjoyed getting together with her high school friends the “Golden Girls”. She had a great love for animals, especially dogs.

Barb is survived by her siblings: Kathleen M. Curbey, Roberta Ohmer and David Ohmer; nephews and niece: Michael, Lisa and Ryan.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents.

Barb’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Hospice and Optalis Health and Rehab.

A Memorial Service for Barbara will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603. Pastor Chad Przeslawski will officiate. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Private burial of Barbara’s cremated remains will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport, Michigan at a later date.
