Passed away suddenly after a prolonged stay in the hospital, on Monday evening, February 9, 2026, at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre in Saginaw. He was 74 years old.
Jeffrey James Danhoff was born on December 28, 1951, in Saginaw, Michigan, to James and Joyce (Brandel) Danhoff. He graduated from St. Stephen High School in 1971 and continued his education at Delta College, where he proudly earned his degree with a 4.0 GPA. Following college, Jeffrey was employed as a teacher with Frankenmuth Schools.
Jeffrey had a deep love for writing and proudly published his book, 30 Years to Life on Earth, in 2005. He enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his family and friends. Jeffrey also cherished memories of time spent in Traverse City during the 1980s with Leslie and close friends.
He is survived by two sisters, DiAnne Doyle and Leslie (Brad) Budzen; nieces, Jennifer (Chris) Florence and Heather Doyle; great-nephew, Lance Florence; great-nieces, Lindsey and Hailey Florence; and many dear friends, including John and Dee Dee Phelan, William (Delaney) Dupuis, Robert Dupuis, Ryan Greene, Scott Sears, Tim Ross, and Sheila.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, James and Joyce Danhoff; and close friends, Tom and Nancy Dupuis, Bob Kulhanek, and Mark Paulson.
Jeffrey's family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers at MyMichigan Medical Center Saginaw for the wonderful and compassionate care they provided in his time of need.
VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: A Memorial Service will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Sharon Wahl will officiate.
