My husband and I only got to know Edward "Jim" a couple of years ago but boy did he become a great friend. We so enjoyed bringing dinner to have a meal with him, taking him out for his favorite Mexican meal at Manuels, or having a cocktail with him as he shared stories about his life. What an incredible human being he was, and we will miss him dearly. His strength, resilience, and sacrifices during the war are a constant reminder of the true cost of freedom. And he carried that strength and resilience throughout the rest of his life, and really inspired us to live every day to its fullest. We are forever grateful for his friendship.
