Kathryn Schuster

Even all the way in Phoenix Arizona, we feel the tremendous loss of Kathy. Our hearts break for her family and other loved ones. As one of my mom's oldest and best friends, Kathy has been a part of our entire lives-- I truly cannot imagine the world without her. So many of my memories of home at my grandparents house have her there. I will always remember Kathy for her loyalty and commitment to the people she cared for. Without fail, our kids received a birthday card from Kathy every year. She was family, and we will miss her dearly. Love, Stacie, Seth, Natalie and Lola (part of Deb and David's family)

We shared 68 years of friendship... laughs and heartaches. What a blessing to be able to say that. I love you Kath, and I miss you. Your kindness, thoughtfulness and love to my family is something we all appreciated so much. Bruce, John and family, you'll be in my thoughts and prayers. I am very sorry!

Q: How did you meet Kathryn? A: I honestly can't say when I met Kathy. I was just a dream when Kathy and Deb started their 68 year friendship. Kathy was a part of our family. Holidays were not complete until she arrived with her signature cheese ball! I have so many memories of her,but I would like to share one of my most unforgettable. Time has not diminished the effect it's had on me. While Kathy and Deb were teenagers, they wanted to go to the Strand Drive in restaurant. (It was THE place if you were cool) My mother said Deb could go only if she took me along to keep an eye on things. Deb agreed, and I was so happy about getting to hang out with the older girls. All was fine until we got a block or so away from the house. Kathy pulled over,and Deb made me take off my knee high ultra white socks (white socks were so uncool). I quickly recovered from that only to find out that my night was about to get worse. When we arrived at the Strand, I had to lay on the floor of the backseat so no one would see me! Can you imagine how much mental anguish that would cause a little kid? And Deb had absolutely no recollection. Laughed and laughed when I reminded her. Anyway, I have so many good and funny memories that make me smile when I think of Kathy. That's the way I will carry her in my heart You are in my in my thoughts and prayers, Brenda Hill Ruzbasan

I worked with Kathy for many years in Saginaw, and was very sad to hear of her passing. Sending prayers to Bruce and the entire family.
