Obituary

Our beloved wife, mother and dear friend passed on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Medilodge of Frankenmuth, surrounded by her family. She was 79 years old. Susan Spencer was born on January 11, 1946 to the late Marian E. (Brown) and Felix “Pete” E. Spencer. She graduated from Saginaw High School with the Class of 1964. In 1964 Susan was elected Queen of MARC-Michigan Association of Race Cars. She loved NASCAR, Lions Football, traveling with her husband and riding their Harley. Susan loved to party with family and friends over shots of Silver Tequila or a cool beer on a hot day.

Susan married Jose Demetrio Barajas in October of 1991 in Traverse City, together they celebrated many wonderful years together.

Susan is survived by her husband, Jose Demetrio Barajas; daughter, Andrea L. Trevino; dear friends: Tracy (Bolger) and Rudy Brian, Randy and Jan Reinhardt; step-children: Christopher Barajas, Sarah (Carlo) Cardenas and Regina Barajas; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Margarita K. Grierson, Gloria K. Barajas, Manny Barajas, Jesse Barajas, Dina Barajas and Arturo Barajas.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter (off State) on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. 6th Street, Saginaw on Wednesday July 16, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Fr. Francis Voris OFMCap will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Sue will be missed here on earth. But like Andy said her mom is in no more pain. Andy I can remember you growing up . With your mom right by your side. She loved you so much. Now she is in heaven with the lord doing what she has been wanting to do pain free.
