Obituary

Barry Lee Wiggins, age 82, of Saginaw, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Hoyt Nursing Home. The son of James and Thelma (Fulton) Wiggins, Barry was born on December 15, 1942, in Muncie, Indiana. He married Sue Muhn on August 8, 1964, in Alma, Michigan.

Barry graduated from Alma High School in 1961 and went on to earn his degree from Northwood University. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and spent one year in Vietnam. Barry worked in banking for his entire career, starting with Saginaw Savings which eventually became Bank of America, from where Barry retired after over 40 years of service.

Barry loved golf, sports, and spending time with his beloved family and friends.

Barry is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sue Wiggins; his dear children, Tim (Jennifer) Wiggins of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Kelly (Joe) Kiss of Saginaw; adored grandchildren, Jordan Kiss, Jenna Kiss, Brandon Wiggins, Tyler Wiggins, Dylan Wiggins, Kate Benz, and Megan Benz; sisters, Julia (Jeff) Wilson and Mary (Lee) Machan; brothers-in-law, Craig (Teri) Muhn and Randy (Mary) Muhn; many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

Visitation will take place Monday, June 2, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road, Saginaw, MI 48603. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8695 Gratiot Road, Saginaw, MI 48609 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Julie Bailey will officiate. Military Honors will take place following the service at church under the auspices of the United States Army and American Legion Post #22. Interment will take place at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.

Memorials in honor of Barry may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church, care of the church, or to the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan, 25200 Telegraph Road, Suite 110, Southfield, MI 48033 or at Ways to Give.
