Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 in Austin, Texas. Inez Compian was born on October 25, 1945 in Waco, Texas to Pascual Delgado Compian and Dolores Serrato Compian. Inez graduated from Saginaw High School in 1964.  She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Juan S. Yrlas, on October 24, 1964 in Saginaw, MI. They celebrated 43 wonderful years together until Juan's passing in 2008. Inez lived in Costa Mesa, CA for 16 years prior to moving to San Antonio, TX. Inez lived a full life dedicated to serving the Lord. She was a member of multiple church groups and volunteered at various ministries through her time in Costa Mesa, CA. Inez was a skilled seamstress and offered her services throughout the local community. She was a part of the costume construction team for The Lyceum Theater department at Vanguard University. Her costumes were displayed in various productions including Grease, It's a Wonderful Life, and Xanadu. She also volunteered her services with Love-Lift Ministries in which she helped to construct and send care packages to people in need all over the world. She participated in mission trips to Mexico to help build homes for those in need. Inez was a member of Mesa Church (Irvine, CA), and attended Agape Faith Fellowship and Living Faith Family Ministries. Inez enjoyed traveling the world and spending time with her family and friends.

Inez is survived by her children: Juan D. Yrlas, Raquel Yrlas, Brenda Mitchell Yrlas, Dr. Catherine Yrlas and Thomas Yrlas, her grandchildren: William Flores, Morgan Gottlieb, Ambrosia (Jimmie) Williams, Alyssa Flores, Robyn (Sean) Suitor, Juan Antonio Yrlas, and Thalia Pratt. Her great-grandchildren: Justin, Marianna, Jordan, Mark III, Juan, La'Marianna, Audrianna, Victor, Thomas Jr, Aliyanah, Kylie, Madilyn, Ji'Milah, Adrian Joshua, Carlito, Aubrei, Ilya, Anylah and Alanah. Her siblings: Pascual Compian, Jr., Micaela Trevino and Maria Louisa (Richard) Teneyuque. Her sisters-in-law: Isabel Yrlas, Elena Yrlas, Martina Lozano; many nieces, nephews and close friends. 

Inez was preceded in death by her parents, Pascual and Dolores Compian, her husband,Juan S. Yrlas; a son, Steven C. Yrlas; a son-in-law, Michael Mitchell; a granddaughter, Brianna Morris; a great-grandson, Eliasaph Holden; her brothers-in-laws, Victor, Ramiro, Ruben and Robert Yrlas, Daniel Trevino and sisters-in-law, Idalia Yrlas-Hewitt, Sophia Yrlas, and Sophie Compian.

VISITATION: Family and rriends may visit at the Deisler Funeral Home on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m. Dr. Julian Gonzales will officiate a vigil service on Thursday. Visitation will continue on Friday, May 23, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

FUNERAL: Inez's Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter (off State). Rev. Frank Gallardo will officiate. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
