Loving father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, April 27, 2025 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw. He was 76 years old. Daniel Thomas Newcomb was born on January 24, 1949 in Bay City, Michigan to Joseph and Lucille (Steve) Newcomb. He married Kathy A. Rice on October 23, 1976 in Bay City, Michigan. Dan attended T.L. Handy High School, graduating in 1967 and continued his education at Delta College. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam War earning the Purple Heart for injuries sustained in combat. Dan was employed by General Motors, retiring in 2006 after several years of service.

Dan loved golfing, hunting, and walking in the park. He also enjoyed photography, model railroading, and going antiquing. But, what Dan really loved most was being around his family and his friends.

Surviving are one daughter, Danielle (Ryan) North; step-son, Robert Morse; grandchildren, Kylie, Jonathan, and Ethan North; siblings, Joseph, Linda, and Scott, and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Scott and Laurisa for their love and support all these years.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lucille Newcomb and his lovely wife, Kathy A. Newcomb.

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State), Saginaw, MI 48603 on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastor Rick Milks will officiate. Burial will take place at Elm Lawn Cemetery, 300 Ridge Road, Bay City, MI. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Army and American Legion Post # 22.
