Loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on Saturday April 19, 2025. She was 67 years old. Patricia Ann (Aruladale) Chapman was born on January 30, 1958 in Saginaw, Michigan to Norma Jean Chapman and O'neal Chapman.  She married Robert Thomas on December 24, 1999 in Vicksburg Mississippi; he preceded her in death on January 19, 2010.

Patricia was a member of Messiah Missionary Baptist Church for many years.  She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and taking trips to the casino.  Patricia will be remembered for her openness and honesty.  Her family and friends could always count on her to tell them what she thought and how she felt.

Surviving are her two daughters: Alicia Chapman, Latrice (Terrance) Jordan; nine grandchildren: Reggie Statom Jr., Vyterius Chapman, Kentorion and KDenn Amos, Nickeya Chapman, Darrell Chapman Jr., Airiana Hamilton, Robert Thomas Jr. and Saniya Jelks; seven great grandchildren; five stepchildren: Amy Henderson of Memphis, TN, Beverly Thomas of Defiance, OH, LaSauka Miller of Saginaw, MI, William Miller of Toledo, OH and Charles Miller of Defiance, OH; her brother David Chapman, her stepbrother Lesile Hollman; three sisters: Barbara William of Saginaw MI,  Jessie Chapman of Saginaw MI, Cynthia Gloss of Grand Rapids, MI; two stepsisters: Linda Cain of Maryland,  Beverly Cain of Saginaw, MI.  Patricia is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Jaquline Trouse and Lashawn McCormick; and special friends, Gerald Wayne Adams and Mr. Harold.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Robert Thomas; three sons: Bennie Earl Thomas, Darrell Devon Chapman, and Robert Earl Jr; her granddaughter: Kennadi Amos; her parents: Norma Jean and Oneal Chapman; two sisters: Debra Edwards, Denise Chapman; and one brother, Oneal Chapman Jr.

The family would like to thank Select Staffing for taking excellent care of Patricia!

FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Messiah  Baptist Church, 2615 Williamson Rd, Saginaw MI. Pastor Otis Washington  will officiate.  

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Messiah Baptist Church on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.

My heart felt condolences goes out to Patricia's family. I pray that Jehovah grant you peace that surpasses all understanding. Those that have passed in Jehovah's memory are asleep. They are resting in his care awaiting the resurrection.
