The Lord called our beloved Yvonne Gutierrez home on the morning of April 22, 2025, at the age of 51. A lifelong caretaker, Yvonne had a heart for helping others and giving back whenever she could. No matter the circumstances, she always found a way to lift others up, offering comfort, kindness, and her unforgettable smile.
Born in Saginaw, Michigan, on December 11, 1973, to Julio and Yolanda Gutierrez, Yvonne was a proud graduate of Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1991. There, she formed lasting friendships that continued throughout her life—friends who will miss her dearly. Yvonne continued her education at Delta College, earning her CNA licensing, caring for many people throughout her lifetime. She was also held in high regard as an educator and as Administrative Director of The New Millennium Academy.
Yvonne had a magnetic personality and a contagious laugh that could brighten any room. But her greatest joy in life was her family. She was the proud mother of three children: Clairissa (Kyle) of Saginaw, MI; Cyla (Jaylin) of San Antonio, TX; and Charles (Danielle) of Saginaw, MI. She raised her children to be strong, resilient, and united, instilling values and life lessons that will live on through generations.
Of all the roles Yvonne held, the one she cherished most was being “Grandma.” Her eight grandchildren—Jaylen, Ja'Liyah, Cyree, Civannah, Santana, Seviano, Symone, and Ellie—were the light of her life. She would move mountains for them, always making sure they knew how deeply they were loved. Yvonne will be missed by so many family and friends, especially her special cousins Rita Medel & Guadalupe (Lupe) Trejo and her lifelong friend LaTecia Cirilo.
Yvonne is survived by her mother, Yolanda G. Gutierrez; her sister, Maria T. Gutierrez; and her beloved nieces and nephew, Laticia, Anita, and Julio Gutierrez. She was reunited in Heaven with her dear father, Julio G. Gutierrez Jr.; her grandmother, Maria G. Gutierrez; and her godmother, Amy Aguilar.
VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Monday, April 28, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
FUNERAL: Yvonne's funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2025 at Deisler Funeral Home. Deacon Librado Gayton will officiate. Cremation will follow the service.
