Obituary
Dorothy Margaret Dawe, age 80, of Saginaw, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Traditions of Saginaw.
She was born on June 2, 1944, to Carl and Verle Sasinowski in Highland Park, Michigan.
Dorothy was a very faithful woman and a follower of Jesus. She was a member at Peace Lutheran Church in Saginaw for over 45 years and during that time was involved in many activities such as teaching, Bible study, and other worship groups. She enjoyed growing beautiful flowers, watching birds in her yard, and taking care of her golden retrievers over the years. Above all, Dorothy loved and treasured spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Dorothy had a sweet personality and a heart of gold.
Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Frank Dawe; children, Doug (Jennifer) Dawe and Rebecca (Ross) Dickinson; grandchildren, Christian (Deborah) Dawe, Emma (Benjamin) Weide, and Megann Dawe; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Weide; siblings, Carlene Black, Neil (Mary) Sasinowski, Tom Sasinowski, Kirk (Debbie) Sasinowski, and Gary (Darlene) Sasinowski; sister-in-law, Deborah (Paul) Dallmann; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Verle Sasinowski; sister-in-law, Judy Dawe, and brother-in-law, Carl Black.
Visitation will take place on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road, Saginaw, MI 48603.
Visitation will continue on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 3427 Adams Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602. Pastor Matthew Hauser will officiate.
Memorials in honor of Dorothy may be made to Peace Lutheran Church, care of the church.
