Stec, Deborah Ann

Saginaw, Michigan

Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was 76 years old. Deborah Ann Buggia was born on December 8, 1948 in Saginaw to Donald and Donna (Bell) Buggia. Debbie graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School in 1966. She married Daniel Carl Stec on June 8, 1967 in Saginaw. He preceded her in death on July 25, 1998. Debbie was a dedicated and loving grandmother and aunt, a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mayville for many years and an avid gardener.

Debbie is survived by her children: Anne Marie (Jerome) John, Jason (Chelsea Bobbitt) Stec and Mary Margaret (James “Tony”) McLaughlin; grandchildren: Jacob John, Alexis John and Elissa Stec; siblings: Donald (Patricia) Buggia, Dean “Tony” (Marie) Buggia, Diane (Dan) Rowell and David (Vickie) Buggia; sister-in-law, Theresa Buggia; many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel; and brother, Daniel J. Buggia.

FUNERAL: A private funeral service for Debbie will be held at the Deisler Funeral Home with burial to follow at St. Andrew Cemetery.

I always have good memories of you. I remember when visiting Nana we would come see you. I still remember swimming in your pond and then later finding out that there was probably a snapping turtle at the bottom of it. You'll be greatly missed. We love you. Jessica Lynch Dumas

I always admired Deb for her sense of humor, her love for her kids and family, and the laugh you could recognize anywhere! I thank God she and I reconnected a few years ago and the long conversations we would have. Memories shared about growing up in a close-knit family. We laughed, we cried, we finally met up to see each other to visit my sister, Sandra. What a day of stories! Best time to be together again. I will miss those calls and laughter. I love you, Deb and know you are finally at peace.
