Alan James Talbot, Sr. age 73 passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Alan was born on October 16, 1950 in Weymouth, MA the son of the late George and Elinore (Counter) Talbot. Alan was united in marriage to the former Cynthia Steele on August 16, 1975 in Saginaw, Michigan; she survives him.

Alan retired from Wolgast Corporation after 32 loyal years. He enjoyed woodworking; there wasn't anything he couldn't make or fix. He and Cindy also enjoyed traveling and camping to many destinations. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Alan is survived by his loving wife of 49 years; Cindy, his children; Alan Talbot, II, Adam Talbot and Tracy (Matt) Bator, grandchildren; Alyssa, Benjamin, Maxwell and Elena, a sister; Pam (Bob) Luth and several nephews.

FUNERAL: Funeral services for Alan will take place Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM from Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) Saginaw, MI 48603.

VISITATION: Family and friends can gather at Deisler Funeral Home on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM and again Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

MEMORIALS: Those planning a memorial contribution are asked to consider St. Jude's Children's Hospital or City Rescue Mission of Saginaw.

gramps, you were the strongest most resilient person that i’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. you never failed to give the best goodbye hugs or make every moment special. getting to grow up with you for 22 years has been the biggest blessing i could’ve ever asked for and that God could’ve ever given me. you never failed to give me the best advice on life and the greatest hugs when it was time to leave. you will continue to change my life for the better and i’ll always remember our moments shared. you’ve helped grow me into the person that i am today and i am so proud to be able to call you my gramps. -lyss
