CASTILLO, Frederick R. of Saginaw, Twp., Michigan

Beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Mary Free Bed of Saginaw at the age of 76. Frederick was born on March 4, 1948 in Saginaw, MI the son of the late Cervando and Celia (Ortega) Castillo. He was united in marriage to Patricia Noonan on September 10, 1994 in Saginaw. Fred was an avid car enthusiast, spending time in his garage; washing his cars, listening to music and having a beer. He loved his dogs; but most of all his family and friends were the most important thing to him. He will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish his memory are his children; Fred Castillo Jr., Leslie (Steve) Dill, Paul (Amber) Castillo, Carl Noonan, Skyler (Nicole) Noonan; grandchildren: Corey (Mariah) Castillo, Crymson Cardamoni, Brody Castillo, Paige Castillo, Rosalie Dill, Frank Dill, Jayden Noonan, Landon Noonan and Weston Noonan; siblings: Yolanda (Oscar) Ortega, Elaine (Mark) Ondersma, Ronald Castillo, Sandra Castillo-Villanova, Judith (Antonio) Olgine, Marilyn (Jack) Campbell, Nanette (Randall) McCollum,; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Pete (Twila) Noonan Jr., Cindy (Bob) Sterling, Mary (Rick) Morse, Mike Noonan and Adam Noonan; special nieces, Elena (Jojo) Vasquez and Jessica “Choo-chee” Castillo and many additional nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Besides his parents, Fred was predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Erlinda (Michael) Flores Jr., Ernest Castillo, Richard Castillo, Elvira (William) Lull and John (Maria Socorro) Castillo.

FUNERAL: A funeral service for Frederick will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) Saginaw, MI 48603. Chaplain Rick Milks to officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at the funeral home on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

I couldn't believe it when I seen it. I remember your love for cars when we were kids. Your bedroom was full of Model Cars, some you customized, but as I remember all looking great. I wish I had not lost track of you, as we seem to do after high school. Our old East side neighborhood has never been the same. Until we meet again. Sam Cherwinski

The one thing I will always remember about Fred is when we worked at Grey Iron he always had shiny black shoes.

Fred was always a soft spoken man who loved his family. I knew him from high school. He always had a clean car. I teased him about having pretty eyes. I pray God's comfort and peace for his family. Rest in peace my friend.
