Our loving father, grandfather and dear friend passed away at his home on Monday, June 17, 2024. He was 79 years old. Ronald Earl Warner was born on October 6, 1944 in Saginaw to the late William and Eva (Dezelah) Warner. Ron was a lifelong Saginaw resident who loved riding horses, listening to Willie Nelson music and spending time with his grandchildren. He was frequently in his office where he showcased his family achievements, personal keepsakes and enjoying his “fresh herbs.” He faithfully worked for Saginaw Steering Gear in Plant #2 as a Job Setter, retiring in 1997. Ron loved to worship with his church family at Saginaw Valley United Pentecostal Church, where he often volunteered for various positions. Ron had a special place in his heart for his dogs and cats.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Sallie Warner; grandchildren: Josh (Bryna) Warner, Brianna Warner and Lauren (Jared) Zimmer; and expected great grandchildren; special nephews, Kal and David Warner and many additional extended family and dear friends.
Ron was preceded in death by a son, Scott Warner; grandson, Tyler Warner; brother, Gary Warner; and sister, Sandy Corwin.
In keeping with Ron's wishes, cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2024 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State), Saginaw, MI 48603. Rev. Kevin Leaman will officiate. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.
