Leo, Lawrence I. “Larry”

Loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at his residence. He was 78 years old. Lawrence Izzo Leo was born on May 19, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Louis F. and Helen E. (Izzo) Leo. He married Vickie Mead in 1972 in Saginaw, Michigan at St. Helen Catholic Church. Larry attended St. Mary's High School, graduating in 1963 and continued his education at Great Lakes Community College, earning an Associate Degree. He was employed by Eaton Corporation, retiring after 37 ½ years of service. Larry was a member of the Sons of Italy, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus for many years. He also volunteered for several years at the former St. Thomas Aquinas School.
Larry enjoyed playing cards. He also enjoyed golfing. What Larry really loved most of all, was going on Disney vacations with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Vickie Leo; children, Jeffrey Leo and Gregory Leo; his grandchildren, whom lovingly referred to him as Papa, Jack, Lauryn, Eric, and Angelo; great-grandchildren, Eric Jr., Isabella, Camilla, and Alaya, and many nieces and nephews.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jo Leo.
PRIVATE MEMORIAL SERVICE: In keeping with Larry's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Private Memorial Service will take place on Monday, March 18, 2024. Rev. Fr. Jack Johnson will officiate. Private burial will take place at St. Andrew's Cemetery.
VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
