Saginaw, Michigan

Paul G. Troup passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2024 after a brief illness. He was 63 years old. Paul G. Troup was born on October 13, 1960 in Saginaw to the late Carol L. (Green) and Paul E. Troup. Paul was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School, and he then earned his certification as an auto mechanic. He worked for Saginaw Township maintaining their equipment and vehicles for many years. Paul loved to bowl, drive his Corvettes and entering them into car shows, and bow hunting. Paul's loving and kind spirit could be seen through the care given to the many dogs he raised throughout his life and his special bond with his granddaughter, Lennox.

Paul is survived by his partner, Patricia Yanna; children: John (Stefanie) Troup, Justin Troup and Brittany (Zabriel) Tolston; grandchildren: Peyton and Stella Troup and Lennox Yanna; sister, Heather (Brian) Leuenberger; nephew and niece: Brice and Morgan Leuenberger.

Paul's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Compassus Hospice for all of the care and support provided to Paul and the family.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, March 25, 2024, at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., Saginaw. Rev. Kevin O'Bryan will officiate. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Paul you were a great neighbor and friend to us. We had each other's back watching over our family and house. We had some great and sad memories. We enjoyed going to car and bike shows throughout the years especially at Green Acres. Thank you for helping me when my garage burned down. When you loss Jasper and I loss Indy we consoled each other, rest in peace my friend.

Anna and I were very fortunate to live next to Paul and Patty when we first moved in to our house in 2012 and had them for neighbors for a few years. Our dogs ran around with each other and Paul was always asking if we needed anything and never hesitated to assist with a small engine issue. We are saddened to see his passing and wish his family comfort during this time. We’ll always have fond memories of our first next door neighbor who set the bar high for us. - Joe Reyes

We were so very sad to see the loss of Paul. We had the pleasure of meeting Paul when he lived around the corner from us back in the early 1980's. He became a Hero to our son Joe when he was riding his bike and fell and hit his head, cutting himself. Paul saw it happen and went to his side to help him, walking him and his bike back home safely to us. Joe was covered in blood and I almost lost it and Paul reassured me it was just a small wound and that he was indeed, okay! We became friends from that day on knowing we now had a new neighborhood friend. We send our Deepest Sympathies to all of you who loved him...........
