Frances Ledesma of Saginaw, Michigan was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly, surrounded by her devoted family on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the age of 73. Frances was born to the late Alex and Stella Hernandez on July 20, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Frances was a very hardworking U.A.W. member and retired from Saginaw Steering Gear after 30 years of dedicated service. Our mother devoted her life to her children and family, and worked double shifts to provide a fortunate lifestyle. Frances was always classy, sassy, and independent. She enjoyed going to Mexican dances with all her compadres, bowling, taking trips to the casino and vacations with her family, it all brought joy to her heart.

Frances was preceded in death by her only true love, her former husband and father of her beautiful children, Henry Ledesma Jr.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Rachel (Stacy), Tina, Angela (Ray), and Erica Ledesma. They all had a strong and unbreakable bond. Grandchildren, Santino, Mia, Adriana, Valentino, and Stella; one great-granddaughter, Sierra and one great-grandson, on the way; her loving and devoted sister, Jeanne DelaCruz that stayed vigilantly by her side, and her loving brother, Mark Hernandez and sister, Teresa Delgado.

Frances was also preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, Frances Ramirez and two twin sons, Henry III and Rosario Ledesma; sister, Diana Ayala, and brother, Alex Hernandez.

A special thanks to all her life-long friends and family, Pat Flores, Julia Hernandez, Della Barbosa and Jerry Holycroff.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. 6th Ave., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Francis Voris OFM Cap will officiate. Rite of committal to follow at St. Andrew Cemetery in Saginaw.

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A vigil service will be held on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Mom, my love for you grows even more in depth as the time goes by, I sigh.. I think why.. I quickly replace those thoughts, and just think how Thankful, Grateful, and how much Gratitude I have for being able to have you as a Mother, and to have had you here on earth as long as we did, and here on earth the seasons come, and go. God willing, and the time it doesn't wait, it doesn't stop for us to feel, We feel as we go along the way, each and every single day, but God has blessed us by babies being born and continuing our family tree. It hurts to think that they won't experience your BEAUTIFUL soul in person. A loss they can't even begin to understand or imagine. One more year has gone, and soon it will pass, but the sadness I carry for you has never left. It still remains, and tears they still flow very much so. Our memories are etched in my heart, mind, and soul. You are my greatest treasure along with God who gives me strength to get through another day without you. A treasure that can't be bought. One that no one could ever take away. A treasure within...I miss you. I love You to the ends of the earth, and All the space in between, to the stairs that lead me directly to you, for you are one of God's angels who watches over us, Give Dad, smiley, and the rest of the family, all my love till I see them again!!

My condolences to the entire Hernandez/Ledesma family. It’s hard to gather the words because this doesn’t feel real. Franny embodied strength, independence, joy and perseverance. She was a great role model for enjoying life in any season. I have this vision in my head of Franny dancing on streets of gold to Tejano music with her parents and siblings. I loved her non-stop energy. Her spirit will live on in her grandchildren and great grandchildren.. As your daughters and family enter this new season of their lives I pray they remember the good memories and that you would not want them to stop living but to live an even fuller life. Franny you will be missed dearly ❤️.

Tia Franny, blessed for all the support and memories--especially your trip to visit me in Hawaii--such a good time! Im so thankful I got to see you and talk to you a week ago.
