SPENCER, Nancy L.

Saginaw, Michigan

Our loving, tenacious and feisty mom, grandma and great grandma passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was 88 years old. Nancy Lee Porter was born on August 17, 1935 in Saginaw to the late Harold and Avis (Guldenzoph) Porter. She married DeWayne Marvin Spencer in 1957, together they celebrated 54 years before his passing on May 4, 2011. Nancy was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She worked as a secretary for General Motors for many years and then served Saginaw Township as their Clerk. Nancy had a love for her family, friends and animals.

Left to cherish Nancy's memory are two sons: Mark D. (Cynthia) Spencer, Todd D. (Jacquelyn) Spencer; six grandchildren: Sean Spencer, Kaylee (Chris) Maze, Andrea (Adam) Berthiaume, Brooke Spencer, Brittany (Aaron) Ward and Tyler (Nicole Allen) Spencer; great grandchildren: Kelsey and Preston Berthiaume, Ava and Logan Maze, Addelyn and Knox Ward and Landynn Spencer.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, DeWayne Spencer; and son, Kipp D. Spencer.

FUNERAL: A funeral service for Nancy will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Deacon Jeff Rauschert will officiate. Private entombment will be at Oakwood Mausoleum.

VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Deisler Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m.
