Fritz, Lois M.

Lois Fritz of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Covenant Healthcare surrounded by family. She was 91 years old. Lois was born in Merrill, Michigan to the late Emil and Anna (Kuelske) Fritz. She married the love of her life, Raymond Fritz, on October 2, 1948 in Saginaw, Michigan. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2014. Lois was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She loved crocheting, knitting, and working puzzle books.

Surviving are her three daughters: Beverly McMall-Fritz, Janice (Qaadir) Al-Hasan, and Rae (Richard) Johnson, along with 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren. A special granddaughter, Shari Hahn, lived with Lois and took care of her in her elder years. She had three remaining special friends: Phillip Hahn Sr., Barry Gadd, and Richard Johnson Jr.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Selma Stenzel, and her brother, Walter Fritz, as well as her two dogs, Pepper and Mitzi.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastor Andy Retberg will officiate. Committal service to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Saginaw.

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
