Salazar, Margaret Ann age 75 passed away Monday, December 4, 2023 at Covenant Healthcare, Saginaw MI. Margaret was born of September 21, 1948 in Saginaw, MI the daughter of the late Antonio and Josephine (Castanon) Ortega. Margaret was united in marriage to Joseph Salazar Jr. on October 14, 1978, he preceded her in death on October 5, 2013.

Margaret was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed going to bible study, shopping, going out to the movies and to restaurants. She especially enjoyed her family and spending time with them.

Margaret is survived by her grandson; Jayce, three brothers; Daniel (Silvia), Michael (Maria) and Frederick (Marjorie) Ortega, special nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Besides her parents and husband Joe, Margaret was preceded in death by her son; Frank Garnica III and two brothers; Robert and Edward Ortega.

Margarets family would like to extend a special Thank You to Traditions of Saginaw, Senior Living Community and the staff at Covenant-Cooper ICU.

FUNERAL: Memorial Mass for Margaret will take place Monday, December 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from St Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. 6th Ave. Saginaw, MI 48601. Rev. Fr. Francis Voris OFM Cap to officiate. Inurnment to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to gather Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

MEMORIALS: Those planning a memorial contribution are asked to consider St. Joseph Catholic Church.
