Donna Cunningham Ader, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw. She was 92 years old. Donna was born January 29, 1931 in Saginaw, daughter of the late Floyd and Helen Rose (Mesack) Fobear. She attended Saginaw schools, graduating from Saginaw High School in June 1949. While working for a bakery, Donna was introduced to George Cunningham and the two were married on September 2, 1950 in Angola, Indiana. Together Donna and George had three wonderful children and their union lasted for 20 years. She later met Robert Ader, uniting in marriage on August 1, 1970 in Saginaw. Through the years Donna worked various places. She eventually found herself at Michigan Bell Telephone Company where she was employed as a directory assistant operator for many years. Always known as a hard worker, Donna liked to enjoy herself as well. She had fun by going to the casino and playing Bingo or listening to music. She was an avid walker who also loved the outdoors. Donna was also a woman of faith and regularly attended church. She had a quick wit, great sense of humor, a big heart and a bright smile she loved to share with others.
She is survived by her children, Debera Cunningham of Elizabeth City, NC, Lori Cunningham of Little Falls, MN, and Timothy (Vikki) Cunningham of Boardman, OH; grandchildren, Ashley (Adam) Drapcho, Trista (Brian) Linsley, and Timothy Cunningham Jr.; brothers, James (Sondra) Fobear and Thomas (Mary Lou) Fobear; sisters-in-law, Esther Fobear, Donna Fobear, Florence Williams, and Shirley Cunningham; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband Robert Ader in 1989 and siblings, Floyd (Audrey) Fobear Jr., Gene Fobear, Jeanette (Gerald) O'Dell, and Richard Fobear.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State Street).
VISITATION: Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
