Our loving mother passed away on August 22, 2023 at Adira Nursing and Rehab in Saginaw after a brief illness, she was 89 years old. Jean Marie Tullis was born on October 16, 1933 in Bridgeport, Michigan to the late George and Jeanie (Mount) Tullis. She married Andrew J. Divo on October 31, 1958. Jean graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1951. After graduation she moved to Washington D.C. and began working at the Pentagon. Five years after moving to Washington D.C., she returned to Saginaw and began working at Saginaw Steering Gear as a buyer in their purchasing department, retiring after 30 years of service. After retirement, she and her husband Andrew moved to their house on Lake Huron in Au Gres where they enjoyed many wonderful years together.
She loved gardening and growing beautiful flowers. Jean also enjoyed reading and taking trips to the casino. She adored her African Gray Parrot named Bailey. In her later years, she enjoyed being on the water and spending time with her up north friends.
Surviving are her children, Dawn (James) Boardman, Scott Divo, and Wendy (Win) Schiller; six grandchildren, Nick, Brennan, Lexie, Brody, Hanna, and Logan; great-grandchildren, Luca, Audrey, Peter, and Sadie, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Andrew Divo and one brother, David Tullis.
Jean's family would like to thank the nurses and aides in the memory unit at Adira Nursing and Rehab for the wonderful and compassionate care they provided to their mother.
In keeping with Jean's wishes, a private funeral service will take place with cremation to follow.
