Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 at his residence in Saginaw, he was 77 years old. Franklin Leroy Darling was born on April 24, 1946 in Saginaw, MI to the late Franklin John and Ruth (Sanborn) Darling. He married Jean Sonsmith in Saginaw, MI. Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was employed by Eaton Manufacturing as an Engineer, retiring after 40 years of service and continued working for Griffin Radiator for 15 years.
He loved watching and playing high school basketball. Frank also enjoyed traveling. But, most of all he really loved spending time his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Jean Darling; children, Franklin J. Darling and Teri Haskin; grandchildren, Brittanie Darling, Corrissa Hall, Griffin Hall, Dylin Hall, Brett Hall, and Nichole Haskin; great-grandchildren, Halle Jean Dilts, Milah May, Connor May, Casey Haskin, and Delilah Bellinger; one sister, Robin Steiss, and many nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by one daughter, Bridgett Darling; one sister, Bonnie Hirst; brother in-law, Jim Steiss.
In keeping with Frank's wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time.
