Our loving son, dad, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle and friend passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at his home. He was 33 years old. His personality would light up any room. He was respectful, humble, fun, and a loving young man. He loved his family and friends and will be deeply missed. Nikolas Michael Rodriguez-Lopez was born on February 28, 1990 in Saginaw, MI. Nick graduated from Arthur Hill High School, in 2009. He worked for Draper Chevrolet and then Serra Saginaw for over 12 years as a customer service representative. He loved spending time with his children, watching ESPN, Food Network, and cooking to get family and friends together.
Nikolas is survived by his mother, Tracy Lopez; children: Nikolas Lopez and Asia Lopez; twin brother, Michael (Raven) Rodriguez-Lopez; his sister, Alexis Lopez; grandfather, Robert F. Lopez (Rosie Breen); aunts and uncles: Robert P. (Alma) Lopez, Sandra (Willard) Sanders and Lesley (Darrell) Lopez-Belt; Donna Hobbs, Tracey Jablonski, Angela (Artie) Meyer, Zorina and Billy Rodriguez; niece, Mariah Lopez; nephews, Michael and Angelo Lopez and D'Andre Key; extended family; Latina (Gary) Skipworth, Melissa Casey, Linda (Elliot) Napier, Chasmine and Tantanissa Rogan, Monsherri Hall; many other aunts, uncles, and special relatives; Lil Rob, Santino, Sonny, Dubb, Michaela, and Aaron.
Best friends that were more like family; DeMario Napier, Marcus Garrett, Ralph Rivera, Brad Mannie, Demetris Scott, Davarius Gray, Tom Raczok, Mike Seals, Arnesha Williams, Devonte, Kinisha and Curt Madison. Forever Family.
Nikolas was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Irma Guerra Lopez and Mary Verdusco Juarez; cousin, Richard “Dennis” Fowler; friend, Cortez Davis.
SERVICE: A funeral service for Nikolas will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) Saginaw, MI 48603. Pastor Augustine Delgado will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Saginaw. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A prayer service and time of sharing will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
