Pauline Zuniga, age 99, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2023 in Seattle, Washington. Pauline was the 2nd daughter of Eulalia and Francisco Paramo, born on April 10, 1924 in the Saginaw area, Michigan.

Raised in Saginaw, Michigan, Pauline attended St. Joseph Parish and School on N 6th avenue and became a beautician. She married John Zuniga from Dallas, Texas who died just over 1 year ago in Dearborn, Michigan. They settled in the Detroit, Michigan area but moved about the Northeast, South and Midwest United States until settling in Rochester Hills, Michigan where they retired. Pauline only recently had moved to Seattle, Washington from Michigan.

Pauline enjoyed family and being with family wherever and whenever. Her greatest assets were her engaging personality, quick wit and empathetic soul. The Magnet, published by the senior class of St. Joseph School in June 1944, described Pauline: “The heart to conceive, the understanding to direct and the hand to execute”. Everyone loved Pauline wherever she went. She is survived by her two sons, John R. and Marcos of Dallas, Texas and Seattle, Washington respectively. Together Pauline and John had Six Grandchildren and Seven Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL: Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2023 from Deisler Funeral Home on 2233 Hemmeter Road, Saginaw, Michigan. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Family and friends may gather at Deisler Funeral Home on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Our deepest condolences to you Randy & Marc. Please know that my mother, Ninfa, and I are with you virtually and in spirit since we cannot physically be present in Saginaw. We send our love and keep you and your familes in our prayers. Aunt Pauline was one intelligent, strong, faithful woman. All one had to do was engage in a conversation with her to witness and experience her spirit. No matter the occasion or topic of conversation Aunt Pauline's faith in God and love of family shone brightly. She was very proud of her sons and grandchildren. Her face would just light up when she spoke of them. Her spirit and grace will be dearly missed. I met John and Pauline around 15 maybe more years ago . They were frequent diners at the Rochester Chophouse where I worked at the time . I fell in love with them both and was fortunate to become friends with them . Pauline´s wit and charm always made me smile . John was always such a gentleman . I visited them once prior covid at their new apartment in Dearborn. When I was leaving he walked me to my car and seeing I was safe . The place was huge but he insisted . We had lunch and they showed me all around . They introduced me to their friends . I had to laugh , Pauline would always comment these people are so old . She was such a young spirit and beauty . I went over their house in Rochester a couple of times for ice cream and just chatted with them . I feel blessed to have known this couple and that they were brought to my life . The last couple of times I talked to Pauline , she let me know she had moved to be closer to her son . She made me laugh because she said these people are "different " . She did love her home in Rochester . I love you both so much , may we meet again ! I´ve had these photos on my fridge since our visit . Time goes by quick and I just thought of calling you and seeing this makes my heart sad . However you both lived a beautiful life filled with love. Much love friends .
