Eddy Perez

Eddy Anthony Perez, beloved son and brother, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, July 11, 2023 at his home. He was 53 years old. Eddy was born in Saginaw, son of Romulo Jr. and Gloria (Nava) Perez. He was an outgoing man and loved to be active. Some of his favorite pastimes were playing basketball with his brothers and nephews and swimming with his great nephews. Eddy also enjoyed other sports and loved watching the Detroit Tigers. He was incredibly giving and sensitive, always making sure others were taken care of. Eddy always found a way to stay positive and loved to make people laugh. His family was his life and he will be missed by all those who knew him.

Eddy is survived by his parents, Romulo and Gloria Perez Jr.; brothers, Romulo R. (Theresa) Perez and Gary Perez; nephews, Alexandro (Angeela) Perez, Gary Perez Jr., Christian Perez, Justin Perez, Joshua Perez, and Nathan Perez; niece, Anjelica Vargas; great nephews, Alexandro Perez Jr. and Leo Perez; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and one special aunt Evangeline Nava. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jose and Manuela Nava and Romulo and Eva Perez Sr.; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and special cousin Joey Ortega.

FUNERAL: The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 11 a.m. from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 3680 S. Washington Rd. Father Alberto Vargas will officiate.

VISITATION: Family and friends may gather at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Liturgy at 11 a.m.

Memorials: Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Francis of Assisi building fund.
