My Dear Sister-in-Love; that is how I thought of her. A more vital, present, giving person is near impossible to imagine. She was always the first to be brought the latest neighborhood problem or short-coming, and the first to give council in development of a plan of action. She was there for the friend or family member in need of a gentle word, or a significant shove toward the right approach to life. In addition to all her strength and "gumpshun," she was a delightful companion and confidant. I will see you again, Dear Helen.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Aunt Helen. Many memories have and will always stay with me. I remember my parents, Harold and Kate Leppien, and the rest of the "clan" as I remember them calling themselves, getting together for their card night, their trips together and the laughter that they always had. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this hard time. I'm sure she's already playing cards with the rest of the "clan"!!. Love, Nancie Glave ( Cookie Leppien)

What an awesome woman our grandma was. She was kind, thoughtful, spontaneous, spunky and wasn’t afraid to try things that were new for her…like riding on our jet skis when we first got them. She didn’t mind going to lunch or dinner at the last minute or going for a ride to see the fall colors. She loved to be with people of all ages, going to church, when she was able to drive herself. After gramps passed she had to learn to drive again. Drive she did, she went all over and it didn’t take her long to get there. We Knick named her lead foot granny, she drove a bit fast…and we teased her about it. We had lots of fun going on vacations to Sanibel and Captiva Islands, Fort Myers Beach, to the cottage and a van trip to West Virginia. She was a great euchre player and we loved to play cards with her, she had a lot of stories about family, so many memories.Thank you for your love and your “words of wisdom.” We will miss you a lot. We Love You to the stars and back. Rest peacefully in the arms of our Savior Jesus Christ. Until we meet again…Peace, Love, Prayers, and Hugs Mike and Patty
