Mike Lapprich

Mike Louis “Old Bird” Lapprich, 79 of Saginaw, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023 at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born June 29, 1943 in Saginaw, son of the late Michael John and Amelia (Milano) Lapprich. Mike worked for Saginaw Transmission as a fork truck driver for GM, retiring after 31 ½ years. He was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Saginaw where he was Baptized and confirmed. This is also where he married the former Margaret “Peggy” Ferchau on June 10, 2010. Mike was a motorcycle enthusiast who loved riding his Harley Davidson. He was a great handyman and could fix and even make chainsaws. Mike also loved to travel, especially to the sunshine state of Florida.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Lapprich; son, Michael Louis (girlfriend, Cat) Lapprich Jr.; step children, Reverend Brian (Janna) Becker and Heather (Brian) Storch; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Kay Pries; niece, Ann Pries; and nephew, Reverend David (Betty) Pries. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Chuck Pries.

VISITATION: Mike's family will receive visitors at St. John's Lutheran Church, 4705 Brockway Road in Saginaw, on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

SERVICE: Memorial services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at St. John's Lutheran Church with Reverend Andy Retberg officiating.
