Sirrine, James T. “Jim”

Merrill, Michigan

Our humorous, charming and easy-going dad, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully and was welcomed into his heavenly home by his Lord on Thursday, May 25, 2023. James Thomas Sirrine was born on June 6, 1957 in Midland to the late Thomas James and Rayma (Smith) Sirrine. Jim grew up in Midland with his older sister, Teri, and graduated from Midland High School in 1975. He worked as an operator at Metal Goods in Midland for many years and later in roofing. During his retirement, Jim embraced the simple life. He loved the Lord, watching movies, a good slice of pizza and a beer with family and friends.

Jim will be forever be remembered for his smile and hearty laugh by his children: Molly (Jason) Pickard and Thomas James “T.J.” Sirrine; his sister, Teri (Gary) Griffin; nephews: Jeremy (Sara) Griffin and Joshua (Jenelle) Griffin.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Rayma Sirrine.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Jim's family will gather privately for a memorial service to celebrate his life.

I got to know Jim back when we went to school at st John's Lutheran here in Midland, 64-65 in Mrs Stanford 2-3 grade classes and later years to conformation, to Midland high class of 75. This picture is from 64-65 school year. My thoughts and prayers to Jim's family. I'm sorry for your loss.

I didn't know James but he was a Sirrine what more could be said! I pray that his children and grandchildren will continue to find peace knowing that James is in Heaven with our Father God and his parents and other family members.
