Obituary

Linda Polzin age 79, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 10, 2023. Linda was born on February 11, 1944, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Milton and Edna (Barratt) May. She was united in marriage to Michael Polzin on April 22, 1969, in Bridgeport, MI. He survives her. Linda had a long and successful career in the legal profession, retiring from Saginaw County Court House.

Linda enjoyed reading, gardening, being outdoors, playing cards with friends and family, and being a snowbird, spending her winters in Florida. She also enjoyed hosting family gatherings. She will always be remembered for being a giving and generous person. But most of all, Linda's family always came first; they meant the world to her.

Linda is survived by her husband Michael, daughter Amy, (Michael) Koenig, daughter-in-law Sheila, three grandchildren Ruby, McKenzie and Grace, brother James (Sue) May, sister-in-law Patricia Washburn and brother-in-law John (Kerri Millet, DDS) Polzin, DDS and several nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her son Gregory Polzin, brother Laurence May and brother in-law Carman Washburn.

Linda's family would like to give a special “Thank you” to A & D Hospice and Dr. Louis Bryne for all their great care. They also were blessed to be surrounded by so many special family and friends.

FUNERAL: In keeping with Linda's wishes cremation has taken place. A private memorial service is planned for a later date.

MEMORIALS: Those planning a memorial contribution are asked to consider St. Jude's Children Hospital.

Mike and Family, Les & I are so sorry for the loss of Linda. I'm so glad we became friends over the years at our time at Marco Towers. I remember our talks in the Chickie Hut. All the mornings when you would be outside early in the morning to see the sunset. Glad you came a few times to play Bingo with us ladies and even winning. It was fun times. You will be missed. Linda was like a sister to me and my best friend. She was so strong, always giving her support to others, thinking of others before herself. We shared so many memories, the Christmas Eve parties, making wine in their garage, dressing up for Halloween, furnishing and redecorating their condo in Florida, how she loved Spatz's bread and a rum/coke, a good bargain, and definitely avoided mushrooms and strawberries. She loved her family so much and was so proud of them. I know that it was time for her to leave but I am going to miss you so much my dear friend. Amy and Mike, I know that you will both find comfort in all the memories and may it bring you peace. She is now at peace.
