Obituary

Adam Lance Lister, 28 years old passed away unexpectedly April 1, 2023 at Spectrum Health – Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids, MI. Adam was born in Saginaw, MI on July 28, 1994, the son of Valerie Lister and Robert Hamilton. Adam enjoyed fishing, camping, working on vehicles and trying his luck on scratch off tickets. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and his nieces and nephews; who he thought of as his own. He will always be remembered for his huge heart and always helping people out whenever he could. And even after death, Adam continued helping people by donating his organs and tissue to save other lives. His family and friends are honored to know he will continue to walk amongst us through others.

Adam is survived by his children, Allison Lister and Calix Clark; his mother, Valerie (Bob) Toskey, and father, Robert Hamilton; brothers and sister, Amber Lister, Ashton Lister and Jacob Hamilton; special aunt and cousin, Terry Silva and Meghan Hamilton; his second family, Alannah Finch, Martice Withers and B Basilio; and several nieces and nephews. Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Sherry Lister and Robert Hamilton Sr. and Carol Averill; and special uncle, Brian “Buck Wayne” Hamilton.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service is being planned at 2:00 p.m. May 20, 2023 at Hawk Island, 1601 E. Cavenaugh Rd. Lansing, MI 48910.

Adam has been like a son to me since he was 12. He lived with us from time to time. No matter what was going on in Adam's life or where he was he would text me every mother's day, Christmas, birthdays. He knew that no matter what I was here if he needed anything. He is a wonderful brother to both my daughters. We love Adam very much and will miss him every day. I especially will miss the joy and laughter he spread wherever he went. Love you son

Adam was always like a brother everyone thought we were too. All the shit talking we do drinking and hanging out doing anything and everything I going to remember it all and oh yea don’t let that man into the casino he always got me with we can just go for an hour and then 6 hours in and your like Adam come on man let’s go naw man one more hour but nomatter what we did we had fun and it was a blessing to be around him

My Brother Keith and Myself Krystal knew Adam since we were kids went to Houghton Lake are Houses and yard work and swimming Fishing camping his Dad Bob helped us move a lot and came to live with us hanging out a lot yrs ago Best friends of us all.
