When I lived in Midland for a brief time in the early 1980s, Bill became a trusted, dear friend. He remembered birthdays, would loan me his old green Pinto when my own car broke down, and took me to the VFW for french fries. He was always working on projects with a deep passion and freely shared his ideas with others. I trusted Bill completely and was always grateful he took me under his wing, kept an eye out for me and was almost like a brother. God bless you Bill.

I am reading his dissertation on Paleo-Indians settlements. I did not know him, but I know he would have been a great professor.

Bill and I were close friends when he and I were at Ferris(State Corporation) and when he lived in Baldwin. He was an archeological joy and wonder. Far too many unjustifiable negatives characterized his life especially his marine tour of duty in Vietnam. Rest in peace is no small matter now for Bill. Don Roy
