Mary Prather

Prather, Mary Lou of Saginaw, MI. Passed away Friday, March 17, 2023 at McLaren Bay Region Hospital, Bay City, MI. She was 66 years old. Mary was born August 19, 1956 in Saginaw, MI the daughter of Lola Cerda. She was united in marriage to Roger Prather in May 2000 in Saginaw, MI; he preceded her in death on October 7, 2019. Mary was a very devoted mother. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She made a huge impact on everyone she knew. Mary enjoyed baking, walking, music, aerobics and watching her soap operas. People who knew her would say she was caring, loving, sweet, very kind, generous and loyal. Mary will be very dearly missed.

Mary is survived by her children; John Medina and Sophia Hernandez, Roger (Dee) Prather Jr., grandchildren; Brooklynn, Korey, Esmeralda, Kataleya, Azalea; brothers and sisters, Henry (Lois) Hernandez, Bill Hernandez, Rick Hernandez, James Hernandez, Gloria Martinez, Lucy (Larry) Pomeroy and Rita Ramirez, numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Besides her mother and her husband Roger, Mary was preceded in death by her siblings; Veto, Mario, Jessie, Daniel, David, and Josie.

FUNERAL: In keeping with Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
