Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend to many, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Primrose Retirement Community of Midland. She was 89 years old. Jerry L. LeVeque was born on July 24, 1933 in Saginaw to the late Lloyd and Mary (Hill) LeVeque. She graduated from Saginaw High School where she was a drum majorette. Jerry met her husband Anthony “Tony” Dambro at a dance, and they were married in 1953.
Jerry was well known for her love of music and soprano voice. She sang with many groups including being a Cantor for several years at St. Stephen Catholic Church, the Germania Choir, the Saginaw Choral Society and SVSU. She served on the Saginaw Township Board of Appeals, was a member of the Saginaw Country Club and was the first female member of the Saginaw Club.
Jerry is survived by her children: Toni K. Dambro, Spencer T. Dambro and Kathryn M. “Katie” Dambro; grandchildren: Danielle (Ricardo) Torres, McKinley “Mac” Dambro, Chelsey (Adam) Dambro, Katie (Andrew) Honigford, Nick Dambro, Lauren Dambro and Megan (Brad) Dambro; many great grandchildren; sister, Judy Jaenicke; many nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by her husband, Tony; son, Michael Dambro; and her brother, Thomas LeVeque.
In keeping with Jerry's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on her 90th birthday in July.
