Dearest Jen, Eric, Jim, Uncle Phil , Jeff, Tim and I send you our thoughts and prayers. We are sorry our (U. P. and A. E.) health issues do not allow us to travel, but our hearts will be with you. We fondly remember a young Jeanine and Rennie, in love and happy, and late Sunday nights driving Rennie back to Holy Cross College in Worcester after spending the weekends with us in Sudbury, MA. That was many, many moons ago. Many happy memories of that time when Jeanine and Rennie were falling in love. They lived a very full life living in Massachusetts, New York and finally Michigan. We remained very close to them, visiting them in all their locations. One time when we visited in NY, U. Phil and I got a motel for the night and Rennie accompanied us to register and get the room. I stayed in the car and just Rennie and Phil went into the mom/pop motel in Ardsley Acres. Ren was dressed in a Hawaiian type shirt and funky Bermuda shorts, white legs, white socks and real shoes and I'm sure Phil looked just as weird. It was the time, what can I say? So they try to get a room and the hosts definitely got the wrong idea of just whom the room was for. The wife looked out the window and with a voice of obvious relief, yelled to her husband, "it's OK; the wife is in the car!" RIP, Rennie. Love, The Creters

"To be loved means to be consumed. To love is to give light with inexhaustible oil. To be loved is to pass away, to love is to endure."- Rilke I loved my Uncle Rennie very much. He was smart, funny, warm, generous, and fun. My continuing love to my cousins Jennifer, Eric, and Jim during this time. -Tim

When I think of my Uncle Rennie, I remember him being both humorous and kind. When I was a little kid, he always took time to listen to and speak to me, and sometimes that’s all children need in their lives from adults. I believe he would agree with the following statement from comics writer, magician and philosopher, Alan Moore: “My experience of life is that it is not divided up into genres; it’s a horrifying, romantic, tragic, comical, science-fiction cowboy detective novel. You know, with a bit of pornography if you're lucky.”

I remember my Uncle Rennie as both kind and humorous. Even when I was a little kid, he always took time to listen to and speak with me. Sometimes that’s all children need from adults in their lives to feel special, and he definitely made me feel that way. He also made me laugh a lot - his sense of humor is legendary. He will be missed! Love, Jeff Creter

\I was saddened to hear of Renny's passing but heartened to know that he has joined the heavenly chorus with his wife, my good friend Jeannine. What good times we all had together when I lived in Saginaw. We walked, we partied, we ate, we celebrated, and it was all good. Renny was such an intelligent man and for several years he gave me free allergy shots, saving me both time and money, I know he will be mourned by his children and relatives.
