Our loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and dear friend passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Kipp D. Spencer was born on February 25, 1962, in Saginaw to Nancy L. (Porter) and DeWayne M. Spencer. He graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School in 1980. After high school, he was infatuated with motocross and built his own dirt bikes. Kipp got married and started a beautiful family of his own. The family's favorite destination to travel was Aruba. He loved to scuba dive and spend time on the beach. Kipp worked for Means Transportation, as their Safety Director for 15 years. Following working at Means, Kipp studied culinary arts to enhance his love of cooking. He was best known for his honey glazed hams and ownership of Kipp's Deli & Market. When he retired from his successful business, he used his skills to smoke meat and shared that with the community. During times of disaster, Kipp traveled to share his hospitality, kindness, and generosity with those in need. He loved to snowmobile with his friends, travel the world with People to People Foundation, and spend time with those he loved. Kipp always kept his focus on the needs of others, offering a listening ear or the shirt off of his back.
Kipp is survived by his children: Brooke Spencer, Brittany (fiancé, Aaron Ward) Spencer and Tyler (Nicole Allen) Spencer, Alexis Aguero, Alexander Aguero II; grandchildren: Addelyn Ward and Landynn Spencer; his mother, Nancy L. Spencer; brothers: Mark D. (Cynthia) Spencer, Todd D. (Jacquelyn) Spencer; nephew: Sean Spencer; nieces: Kaylee (Chris) Maze and Andrea (Adam) Berthiaume; also many extended family and dear friends. Kipp was preceded in death by his father, DeWayne M. Spencer, grandmother, Avis O'Donnell, and Roxanne Spencer, his former wife.
SERVICE: In keeping with Kipp's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate his incredible life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State), Saginaw, MI 48603. Deacon Jeff Rauschert will officiate.
VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
