Obituary
Brachear, Virginia “Babe” age 80 passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Monday, November 14, 2022. Virginia was born March 8, 1942 in Sesser, IL, the daughter of Virgil and Elizabeth (Wallace) Kirkpatrick. She was united in marriage to Jerry Brachear on November 17, 1962 in Springfield, IL; he preceded her in death on December 29, 2021. After several years, Virginia retired from JcPenny's Dept. Store. She enjoyed bird watching, watching HGTV and was a Detroit Tigers fan.
Virginia is survived by a son; Kevin (Marie Vorndam) Brachear, three grandchildren; Wayne, Lauren (Tyler) and Zackery and two great-grandchildren; Garrett and Cameron (due in February). Besides her parents and husband Jerry, Virginia was preceded in death by a sister; Helen Galloway.
In keeping with Virginia's wishes cremation has taken place and no services are being planned.
