Worrall, Joseph R.Saginaw Twp., MichiganOur faithful, calm and quick-witted husband, father, grandfather and dear friend passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, February 17, 2022. He was 88 years old. Joseph Ronald Worrall was born on December 15, 1933 in River Rouge, MI. He graduated from Saginaw High School in 1953. Joe proudly served his country as a tank crewman during the Korean War with the United States Army, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment of the 3rd Armored Division. He trained in the area of labor relations with his father's firm and in 1965 formed his own business – Management Consultants – Labor Relations, negotiating and servicing labor agreements for many local and regional firms and in various industries, retiring upon completing 40 years in this work as owner and partner. Joe and his father, George, raised, trained, and showed quarter horses through the years. Using his business knowledge Joe served the Saginaw Community in many facets, including Past President of the Optimist Club, St. Charles School Board Member and many planning committees. Joe was also a member of American Legion Post #439, serving as a board member, Post Historian and honor guard member-rifle squad, serving at over 900 funerals. He was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and shared the love of his Lord through his kindness he shared with others.Joe married the love of his life, Mary Lou Kendall on January 10, 1980. Together they shared 42 wonderful years of laughter, love and many memories. He will also be deeply missed by his sons: Jay Scott Worrall of Saginaw and Joseph Ronald Worrall of Arizona; his daughter, Jennifer (Chris) Schaening of Washington; five grandchildren: Debra (Brady) Stein, Tina Worrall, Haley Blue Schaening, Hannah Schaening and Liam Worrall Schaening; special niece and her family: Lori and Larry Loane and their son, Logan Loane; brothers-in-law: Robert (Millie) Kendall and Harold (the late, Mary Sue) Kendall. Joe's kind spirit will be missed by Sunny (his voracious side kick), and Pete the cat, who both filled his life with fur and love until his last day.Joe was preceded in death by his father and mother, George and Florence Worrall; brothers: George and Robert Worrall; and his sister, Norma Wright.In keeping with Joe's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5335 Brockway Road, Saginaw. Family and friends will gather at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment and Military honors under the auspices of the United States Army and American Legion Post #439 will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, Michigan.MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or the Dalis to the Rescue, 303 Valley Ave., Alma, MI 48801 (an animal rescue and rehabilitation center).Arrangements have been entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd.
