Scott Heinz,

Our hardworking, passionate and fun father, grandfather, brother and dear friend passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 1, 2022. He was 67 years old. Scott Brady Heinz was born on May 16, 1954 in Saginaw to the late Edward and Louella (MacFarland) Heinz. Scott graduated from McArthur High School in 1972. He married Cynthia Bush on February 14, 1976 in Saginaw. She preceded him in death on November 12, 1998. Scott got his start in the landscaping business at a young age with his father and went onto owning and operating Scott Heinz Landscaping for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed working his business with his sons, Scotty and Justin. Scott also enjoyed golf, playing cards, bowling, going out to dinner; especially with his granddaughters and spending time up north at the family cottage. Scott is survived by his children: Jennifer Heinz, Justin Heinz and Scott, Jr. (Melissa) Heinz; three granddaughters: Savannah, Harper and Emily; brothers: Edward (Carol) Heinz and Todd (Marlene) Heinz; and a special friend, Elaine Kingry. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Scott was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Cynthia. The Heinz family would like to give a special “Thank You” to John Ruple for assisting with Scott's care over the last few years. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Scott will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State), Saginaw, MI 48603. Rev. Fr. Andrew S. LaFramboise will officiate with entombment to follow at Oakwood Mausoleum. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
