Passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 at his residence, was 66 years old. Michael Jesse Tackett was born on October 5, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Jesse and Delora Lucille (Mitchell) Tackett. He married Deborah Zimmer on July 6, 1974 in Dearborn, Michigan. Michael was employed by TruGreen as a Manager, retiring in 2020 after 34 years of service.
Michael loved golf and bowling. He also enjoyed camping, swimming and hanging out by the pool. But, what Michael really loved most was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Deborah Tackett; children, Heather (Eric) Brooks, Christina (Trevor Watson) Tackett, and Robert Tackett; grandchildren, Sydney, Madi, Wesley, Molly, Nicholas, Penelope, and Layla; siblings, Pam (Rich) Traskos, Nancy Clement, Janice (Rick) Smith, and Diane Tackett, and many nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by one son, Nicholas Tackett; two brothers, Kenneth Tackett and David Tackett; one sister, Karen Bartman.
FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State).
VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to American Diabetes Association.

Mike was on of the best people to work with. He always was ready to talk and make your day just a little better. Mike always took the time to listen and had just the greatest things to say in response. I can say I will miss Mike and my deepest sympathy to his family.

I always loved this picture of Mike. I worked with Mike for about 10 years at TruGreen and learned a lot from him. We would go out in the field together to check on lawns, customers and our lawn techs. I used to tell him that he was my favorite Service Manager but he never believed me. In reality I had a lot of respect for him and always enjoyed spending time with him. He was a good guy, a pleasure to work with and will be sorely missed. My condolences to his family for your loss.
