Tomasa Briones

Briones, Tomasa D. Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw, she was 68 years old. Tomasa DeLaCruz was born on December 21, 1953 in Three Rivers, Texas to the late Juan and Trinidad (Orosco) DeLaCruz. She was employed by the Saginaw Public Schools as a teachers aid, retiring after 20 years of service. Tomasa was a faithful member of Center of Attraction Church for many years. She loved to spend time in her flower garden and enjoyed planting beautiful flowers at her church. Tomasa was a devout Christian and loved her church very much. She also loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Surviving are one daughter, Maria Isabel Perez; one brother, Enrique (Jeanne) DeLaCruz; one sister, Josefa Mireles; grandchildren, David, Marisol, and Rogelio; great-grandchildren, Esteban Jr., NovaRain, and Nevaeh Lynn, and many nieces and nephews. Tomasa was preceded in death by her son, Fidel “Jr.” Briones; brothers, Jose DeLaCruz, and Miguel DeLaCruz; brother in-law, Manuel “Louie” Mireles. FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastors James and Leona Glenn will officiate. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Center of Attraction Church.
