Alphonse Poole

Mr. Alphonse L. Poole, our beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace surrounded by his family at the age of 50 years old. Alphonse Poole was born on March 11, 1971 in Saginaw to James Anthony Nickleberry and Valerie Poole Winters. He was the younger of the 2 children they shared together. He was known at “Boo” to all his close friends and family. He attended Saginaw Public Schools. Growing up, he was a lover of playing football, writing rhymes, drawing, and cutting hair. His current favorite pastime was cooking. He loved cooking his famous chicken tacos for his family and friends. He was easy going, a natural comedian, and a very family-oriented man who always put his children first. He loved his children. His children were his pride and joy. He was very excited about meeting his first grandson “Alphonse” that is on the way. Alphonse leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Valerie Winters; children, James Williams, Alphonse Poole, Xavier Atkins, and Ashanti Ezell all of Saginaw, Michigan; siblings, Terry (Tamara) Poole, Carla (Gregory) Barton, Robert (Kristen) Winters, Apral Williams, and James (Tuffy) Williams; uncles and aunts, Rayford (Belinda) Poole Jr. of Saginaw, Michigan, Dennis (Stephanie) Poole of Shreveport, Louisiana, Marilynn (Fred) Martin of Flint, Michigan, and Joan Nickleberry of Saginaw, Michigan; special friends, Terry Poole, Robert Winters, Stepheon Hardy, James “Jay” McCall, Drake Poole, Demarcus Poole, Charles “Trouble” Winston, Antonio Boone, Kenyatta Hogan, Sudi McElroy, Juan Whitson, Darwin Whitson, and many more special relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father, James Anthony Nickleberry; grandparents, James Vernon Nickleberry , Marie Nickleberry, Rayford Lee Poole Sr., and LaVerne Poole McGowan; uncles, Gregory Nickleberry, Ronnie Nickleberry, and Anthony Duran Poole; aunts, Ora Lee Poole Curlee, Brenda Nickleberry, and special cousin, Lee “Pooh” Curlee. FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Elder Demetrius Phillips will officiate. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Deisler Funeral Home is honored to serve the Poole family.
