Loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday morning, October 10, 2021 at her mother's home. She was 51 years old. Christie Lynn Doran was born on May 16, 1970 in Saginaw, Michigan to James C. and Sally A. (Leszinske) Doran. Christie graduated from Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in 1988. She then graduated from Central Michigan University. Christie was the Chief Financial Officer for UCAL Systems Inc. She was a sports enthusiast running many marathons and she enjoyed playing soccer in an adult league. Christie's compassionate spirit led her to adopt many rescue dogs and volunteer at the animal shelter.
Surviving are her children: Tyler, Cole and Evan Gillespie of Elgin, Illinois; mother, Sally A. Doran of Saginaw Twp.; two brothers: James (Trish) Doran of Saginaw Twp., and Jeff (Laura) Doran of White Lake, MI; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and dear friends.
Christie was preceded in death by her father, James C. Doran.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: A Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Old Town Christian Outreach, 600 Gratiot Ave., Saginaw, MI 48602. Pastor Bill Bodnar will officiate.
VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Old Town Christian Outreach on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service.
MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society.

I am so sorry for your loss. Christie’s earthly presence will be missed. I know that she is at peace and is all around us now. She was a positive and fun person, down to earth and had a good heart. I met her only seven or eight years through our adult soccer league. I played with her and against her. She always looked after me whenever I took a hard hit. I can see her now asking me if I’m ok. Please accept my deepest sympathies during this time.

I only got a chance to meet her once on a camping trip in 2017 literally 6 years ago, it was Labor Day weekend. I did not know she passed away until today when I was scrolling through my Facebook memories. I remember we had a good camping experience in Door county with her friend Dulce and two kids. I send out my thoughts and precious condolences.
